More Than a Sport

At Invictus, dragon boating is about more than racing. It's about being part of a community that supports, encourages and celebrates one another both on and off the water.

Our club motto is inspired by the words of William Ernest Henley:

"I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul."

These words reflect the resilience, determination and spirit that define Team Invictus.

Our Journey and Success

Since our establishment in March 2020, Invictus Dragon Boat Club has proudly represented Canberra at local, interstate and international events. In just a few short years, we have built a reputation for excellence, teamwork and a strong club culture.

Our members compete across a wide range of regattas each season, demonstrating the commitment and passion that make Invictus such a successful club.

Among our proudest achievements is our performance at the 2024 Australian Dragon Boat Championships, where our Premier/Senior A Women's crew won five Gold Medals and earned the title of Australian Champions across multiple events, including the 200m, 500m and 2km small boat categories.

The crew then travelled to Ravenna, Italy, to compete at the 2024 World Club Crew Championships, proudly bringing home two Silver Medals on the world stage.

Invictus members have also been selected to represent both ACT State Crews and the Australian National Team, "The Auroras", highlighting the talent, dedication and development opportunities available within our club.
